Why Is Exec-U-Fruit Best For You

Exec-U-Fruit is more than just a service — we are your long-term marketing partner at the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market. In an industry where many agents simply move stock, Exec-U-Fruit stands out by building strong, transparent relationships with the farmers we represent — supporting your success from the moment produce leaves your farm to the moment it reaches a buyer.

1. Deep Market Expertise

We are active and experienced agents at the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market, with daily insight into seasonal trends, demand shifts, and price movements. We know how to present and position your stock on the market floor to ensure it stands out and moves efficiently — no guesswork, just smart strategy.

2. We Don’t Buy — We Represent

Exec-U-Fruit does not purchase your produce — we act as your registered commission agent. Your stock remains your property until it is sold. We operate on a fair, transparent commission basis and are committed to maximizing your return with no hidden markup.

3. Access to Consistent Buyers

Our strong network of retailers, hospitality buyers, and bulk produce clients means your goods are seen by people who are ready to buy in volume. We actively promote and move your produce through both the floor and direct order requests, giving you exposure beyond the average agent.

4. Fast Turnover, Clear Communication

With efficient logistics and floor coordination, your stock is sold quickly — reducing shrinkage and maximizing freshness. We also provide direct, personal communication with our farmer partners to keep you informed on market feedback, preferences, and timing.

5. We Support Every Farmer

Whether you're supplying 2 pallets of spinach or 200 boxes of apples, we treat your produce with the same level of care and attention. From packaging guidance to delivery coordination, our team is hands-on and available to help you meet market requirements and expectations with ease.

6. Built for Growth

At Exec-U-Fruit, we don’t just help you sell — we help you grow. That’s why we’ve created a full Farmers Hub on our website, packed with instructions, packaging tips, market info, and everything you need to be successful in the JHB Market.

Bottom Line:

Exec-U-Fruit helps you sell smarter and grow faster — with honesty, strategy, and support you can rely on.

How To Become A Supplier At Exec-U-Fruit

Becoming a supplier at Exec-U-Fruit is simple. We work closely with the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market to help farmers across South Africa get their produce sold professionally and fairly — without the hassle. Here’s how to get started:

1. Register as a Producer

You’ll need to complete a Producer Information Form with your:

  • Full name or farm name

  • ID or company registration number

  • Banking details

2. Get Your Producer Code

Once registered, you’ll receive a Producer Code. This code is linked to you in the market’s system and is required every time you deliver produce. It helps ensure that you get paid correctly for every box that’s sold.

3. Deliver a Consignment Note

Each time you send stock, you must include a three-part consignment note that shows:

  • Your name and Producer Code

  • Exec-U-Fruit listed as your agent

  • Name of sales person who will sell your produce

  • The type, class, quantity, and weight of each product

4. Prepare Your Produce for the Market

Your produce must be:

  • Properly packed

  • Clearly labeled

  • Clean, fresh, and free from defects

.

5. Let Us Do the Selling

Once your stock arrives at the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market, Exec-U-Fruit sells it on your behalf. We are commission agents — not buyers — which means your stock remains yours until it’s sold. We only earn 7.5% on palletized and 9.5% on non palletized. The market earns 5%.

6. Get Paid

After your produce sells, your money (minus market and agent commission fees) is deposited straight into your bank account. The entire process is transparent — and we’re always here to help if you have questions.
